The employment data place Catalonia in a moment of economic prosperity, but neither the unions nor the business organizations want to be triumphalist, because the global uncertainty due to the war in Iran and the rise in costs forces growth expectations to be lowered. According to data made public this Tuesday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Catalonia broke its membership record for the month of April, with 3.92 million members, 38,360 more than the previous month (almost 1% more), while registered unemployment fell by 8,949 people (2.77% less), to 314,527 unemployed. These good figures put Catalonia, for the second consecutive month, ahead of the Community of Madrid in membership, and are due in part to the seasonality of employment, especially tourism, due to Holy Week.
