Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder was apparently supposed to be fired, but then the replacement dropped out. Former head of the Chancellery Altmaier sharply criticized the back and forth. Schnieder’s brother Gordon, Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate, also reacted.
