“Hopefully we can do another act with Mónica Oltra.” It was April 9 and Gabriel Rufián, ERC spokesperson in Congress, shared the stage in Barcelona with Podemos MEP Irene Montero. The party has just been left out of the Cortes of Castilla y León and from Madrid its leadership began to strongly agitate the idea of an electoral tandem between the two. Rufian, the preferred political leader among the progressive electorate to lead a unity candidacy on the left, extended his hand to also attract the former Valencian vice president to the debate. The idea has taken almost two months to come to fruition, but finally the two politicians will sit together on the 19th of this month in the Capçalera park in Valencia, one of the usual venues for party events, starting at seven in the afternoon.
