The forest fire in the Sierra Oeste de Madrid has remained without reproductions during the night, as reported this Wednesday by the Emergency Service 112 of the Community of Madrid. Extinguishing teams continue working to consolidate the perimeter of the fire and strengthen its favorable evolution. During the early morning, Firefighters from the Community of Madrid, Forest Firefighters and Forestry Agents have focused their work on finishing off the hot spots to avoid reactivation of the fire. Extinguishing work continues to control the active fires in the Community of Madrid, Ávila, Toledo, Castellón and Almería, coinciding with the start of a new heat wave, while a portion of the evacuees in municipalities affected by the fire begin to return to their homes. Tens of thousands of residents of 15 municipalities in Ávila and Madrid have returned to their homes. 9,000 inhabitants of Castellón and 6,000 from 11 municipalities of Toledo have also returned.
