The Pope faces his second day in Barcelona this Wednesday after taking the first mass bath in Barcelona last night during a vigil held in the Olympic State that brought together thousands of faithful. His agenda began with a visit to Brians prison, where he met a group of prisoners. He is accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and the Catalan president, Salvador Illa. Later he will travel to the Montserrat Abbey to pray the rosary with the Benedictine community and sing the Virolaia Catalan anthem that could already be heard the day before at the Olímpic. In the afternoon, the Pontiff will go to the church of Sant Agustí del Raval along with half a thousand volunteers from entities dedicated to charity, and at 6:30 p.m. he is scheduled to travel by popemobile to the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia. Prevost will visit the temple and bless the recently erected Tower of Jesus Christ, in an event attended by the Kings, the presidents of the Government and the Generalitat, Pedro Sánchez and Salvador Illa, as well as the mayor of Barcelona, ​​Jaume Collboni, among other authorities. Leo XIV will spend the night again at the Episcopal Palace and will depart for the Canary Islands on Thursday morning.
