The Madrid unions have called this Wednesday for an indefinite strike of teachers to prevent the return to school in September, a measure of pressure against the Ministry of Education that has been inspired by the strikes, backed by massive protests in the Valencian Community. Workers’ Commissions, UGT and the family association Confapa have called for strikes to begin a dialogue process with the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso. The demands are multiple and have in common what they perceive as a progressive deterioration of working conditions in non-university education: salary, ratios, teaching hours or sick leave that is not covered.
