The Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard has issued a new report which supports the alleged leadership role exercised by the former Secretary of Organization of the PSOE Santos Cerdán in the alleged plot dedicated to seeking information capable of torpedoing the causes that affect the formation and the Government. The agents highlight that he gave “instructions” to the personnel under his charge in the party to “authorize any trip” requested by Leire Díez and that he was the one who decided that the socialists would hire the legal services of Jacobo Teijelo (lawyer investigated in this case), whose “supervision and control” he was also in charge of. Specifically, investigators have located two invoices issued by the lawyer to the PSOE for a total of 53,000 euros that do not appear in the documentation provided by the political organization. Furthermore, the uniformed officers highlight that the former militant was accountable to Cerdán, while reflecting notes in the agendas of the former number three of the socialists that they believe demonstrate their “knowledge” about the alleged maneuvers of Díez and his people.
