This Wednesday’s plenary session in Congress was completely different from that of a year ago. Then, in July 2025, Pedro Sánchez also appeared under political siege from the opposition for a serious corruption scandal, the Cerdán case. But he managed to emerge victorious or at least achieve a clear political extension. The president made several announcements of a package of anti-corruption measures that allowed him to offer the image that, despite the difficulties, his partners would continue to support him to finish the legislature. But then came the breakup of Junts, the increasing distance from Podemos, some tensions with the PNV and, little by little, the majority has become increasingly unstable, sometimes non-existent.
