The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, asked this Thursday to appear in Congress to talk about the PSOE scandals. The president wants to take advantage of the appearance he has to make after the next European Council that will be held on June 18 and 19 to also talk about the judicial scandals that affect his party. It will be Congress who decides the final date. ERC, Podemos, BNG and Compromís have also requested the appearance of the president to give “explanations on the new information regarding judicial investigations that affect the majority party in the Government.” In the morning, the socialists have denied having “ordered, supported or cooperated” in the alleged plot of Cerdán and Díez to “destabilize” judicial processes. The PSOE has defended this position after yesterday Judge Pedraz ordered the agents of the UCO (Central Operational Unit) of the Civil Guard to enter the federal headquarters of the PSOE in Ferraz. The Minister of Transport and trusted person of the president, Óscar Puente, has denounced in the halls of Congress that they are trying to “overthrow the Government not at the polls, but with other tricks, with non-democratic methods”, after the latest judicial decisions that affect the Executive and the PSOE. During the morning, several party representatives have asked for explanations and an early election.
