At 9:00 the polling stations throughout Andalusia opened their doors. More than 6.8 million Andalusians have until 8:00 p.m. to cast their vote and elect the 109 deputies of the regional Parliament. The president and candidate of the PP, Juan Manuel Moreno, starts as a favorite, but without a guaranteed absolute majority. If he falls short, he will need Vox to form a government, as already happened in the recent elections in Extremadura, Aragón and Castilla y León. The PSOE, with María Jesús Montero as a candidate, aspires to stop its decline and polls place it at around 23%, its worst historical figure in the community. This year, 368,853 people will be able to vote for the first time, which represents an increase of 2.58% compared to the census of the last elections held in June 2022, which the PP won with 41% of the votes. Participation was 58.36%.
