Around 30.5 billion euros can be saved for the German economy through trust-based occupational health management (BGM). This emerges from a current study by the nomination organization British Standards Institution (BSI) in collaboration with the Center of Economics & Business Research, which is available exclusively to Human Resources.
The researchers have found that when employees feel safe enough to talk to their employer about their health problems, this leads to behavior on the part of employers and employees that reduces lost days, presenteeism and the likelihood of changing jobs. And this saves companies significant amounts of money.
