During his statement before the Supreme Court, José Luis Ábalos expressed his surprise at his ex-partner Jésica Rodríguez’s refusal to have met the commission agent Víctor de Aldama. The former minister has suggested that it could be an agreement between the two. “I would like to clarify, since I am here, if this person has been coerced. I assure you that I know him and I find no reason for him to deny that he knows Mr. Aldama, unless there is some matter that they have settled,” he noted. Previously, Ábalos has spoken about his relationship with his former advisor Koldo García. The former Secretary of Organization of the PSOE has indicated that García accompanied him “24 hours a day”, that he met him in the 2017 primaries and that he became his driver when the general secretary of the party, Pedro Sánchez, entrusted him with the Secretary of Organization of the PSOE. Later, when Ábalos became minister, he rewarded García’s “dedication and loyalty.”
