The PSOE, represented as a popular accusation in the Villarejo casehas asked the National Court to once again summon María Dolores de Cospedal, former general secretary of the PP, to testify as a defendant. The socialists take this step after investigating judge Antonio Piña last week ordered the Internal Affairs Unit (UAI) of the National Police to search “if, among the material seized” from retired commissioner José Manuel Villarejo, conversations with the popular leader and her ex-partner, businessman Ignacio López del Hierro, are “identified” as containing “content that may provide evidence of criminality.”
