There is no truce, for the moment, in the fire that has affected the Sierra Norte of Guadalajara since Thursday. Of the 9,000 hectares devastated, according to the latest official count, a good part is located in this natural park. The fire, fueled by the dryness of the terrain and by wind gusts of up to 40 kilometers per hour, “is far from being controlled,” explained Mercedes Gómez, Minister of Sustainable Development, after the CECOPI meeting this Saturday morning. Around 300 troops are working simultaneously to contain it.
