The judge has ruined the attempt by the mayor of Móstoles (Madrid), Manuel Bautista, of the PP, to have the complaint for sexual and workplace harassment filed against him by a former councilor from the same party be filed. The head of position number 2 of the Violence against Women Section of the Court of Instance of Móstoles has flatly rejected the appeal for reform presented by the mayor of the second most populated city in the Madrid community, with 215,000 inhabitants. Bautista sought to have the order of April 15 that admitted the complaint of his former party and municipal group colleague to be revoked, alleging that the reported events were not a crime, but mere “personal disagreements” and “conflicts of internal functioning” of the council; in addition to suffering from a “manifest absence of rational indications” of criminality.
