The Government of Spain has estimated the total amount executed after the damage of October 29, 2024, which left 230 fatalities, at €9.6 billion, of which €8 billion is non-refundable aid. However, the Generalitat Valenciana, although it has refused to “enter into controversies”, has accused the central Executive of “telling tailored truths” and of “selling as aid something that we all pay for with our pockets.” This has been revealed by both administrations after the meeting of the Joint Commission for the reconstruction and recovery after the damage caused in the Valencian Community by the dana.
