One of the four towers in Madrid, that of the Moeve company, formerly Cepsa, was evacuated this afternoon due to an explosion inside that caused a large column of smoke. Several fire crews have moved to the scene to attend to the incident which, according to initial information, has not caused any injuries. The Government delegation in Madrid reports that there are three people who are confined in security areas on different floors of the building. “There have never been missing workers. There were three workers confined in different plants, out of danger, with whom there was communication,” a Madrid Emergency spokesperson clarified after it appeared in various media that there were people inside for whom there was no trace. The Samur-Civil Protection troops have treated two workers for minor smoke inhalation and a passer-by with an anxiety crisis.
