The fire declared this Thursday in Ávila is advancing uncontrollably and has forced the municipalities of Burgohondo, El Tiemblo and Navaluenga to be confined. The rest of the fires in Castilla y León are evolving favorably. The work of the extinction operation has allowed the severity of the Rábano de Aliste (Zamora) and Retortillo (Soria) fires to be reduced, now without confinements or evacuations. The one in Castropodame (León) is evolving positively, but the towns of Turienzo Castañero and San Pedro Castañero continue to be evacuated. In Madrid, the president of the Community, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has warned that the next few hours of the forest fire in Villa del Prado, which originated in the Toledo town of Almorox and which has already burned 890 hectares, will be “very complicated” due to the high temperatures and wind. The fire is already perimeter in the Almorox area and has dropped to level 1 severity. The third vice president of the Government and minister for the Ecological Transition, Sara Aagesen, has put figures on the fires that are ravaging Spain: 108,000 hectares burned so far this year, four times more than what had burned last year at this time.
