Alison Bell never expected a simple movement one morning would bring her corporate career to an abrupt halt. Yet the injury that left her unable to work ultimately became the turning point that led her to a profession she finds far more meaningful.
Alison had long admired the work of Louise Hay before circumstances forced her to reassess her future.
“I had been in corporate for the best part of 20 years,” she said. “I was in IT security, IT sales, I had a European role, I was flying all around the world – and then I had to leave that career.
“My son came into our bedroom one morning…”
After becoming housebound due to her condition, Alison dedicated much of her time to online learning through Hay House events and programmes.
A chance encounter at a Hay House conference introduced her to Heal Your Life training. Although she had little idea what to expect from the course, she felt compelled to attend.
The workshop had a profound impact, convincing her that helping others through this work was something she wanted to do long term. She subsequently completed the necessary training and became a certified workshop leader in 2019.
Since then, Alison has facilitated workshops, coaching programmes and group sessions, supporting people in overcoming self-limiting beliefs and creating positive change.
She is now extending that work into corporate settings through a programme called “Leading with Heart and Mind”.
The initiative encourages organisations to embrace a more people-centred approach while helping employees develop confidence, resilience and self-awareness.
Alison believes that when individuals feel recognised and valued, both employee wellbeing and business performance benefit.
The programme is rooted in Louise Hay’s philosophy that our thoughts influence the experiences we attract and create throughout life.
