Simone Berger has been Chief People Officer at Stada for seven years. Now she is leaving the pharmaceutical company to pursue a new professional role: She is moving to Tokyo and becoming CHRO at the medical technology company Olympus.
It is currently unclear who will take over the position of CPO at Stada. The company told Human Resources that a vice president of HR will fill the role on an interim basis. “At the same time, we are a Culture & People team that organizes itself,” says the company.
Stada CPO leaves the company
Berger had helped Stada from an HR perspective to transform itself from a medium-sized company into a pharmaceutical company. Last year, the company increased its sales again by focusing on specialty medications. It was important to Berger that the transformation was strongly linked to company values, as she told us in more detail in an interview last year.
She also emphasizes that in her eyes she has achieved this in her Linkedin post about saying goodbye to Stada. She is particularly proud that performance has increased by promoting corporate culture and that personal and organizational growth is now part of Stada’s DNA.

Before her time at Stada, Berger was an HR manager at the children’s and baby products manufacturers Goodbaby International and Cybex. Before that, she worked as an HR leader at the technology group Voith and at the automotive supplier Schaeffler. Berger started her professional career at Bayer as Expatriate Manager North America.
Stada generates its sales with generics, specialty pharmaceuticals and consumer health. Around 11,500 employees work in the group worldwide.
