The orchestra director Cristina de Frutos attended the Provincial Court of Badajoz this Tuesday with the label of being a key witness of the accusations in the case in which David Sánchez, brother of the President of the Government, is in the dock; to the former leader of the Extremaduran PSOE Miguel Ángel Gallardo and nine other people. And the defenses, especially that of Pedro Sánchez’s relative, have dedicated themselves thoroughly to dismantling her testimony, which already during the investigation of the case pointed to alleged irregularities in the awarding, in 2017, of the senior management position of the Badajoz deputation to which she aspired, but which was finally awarded to Sánchez’s relative. Along with her, 14 other witnesses have appeared, most of them officials or positions in the public body, who have agreed to defend both this process and the one that led to the awarding of another position to Luis Carrero, an official at the Palace of La Moncloa and friend of David Sánchez, who also sits on the dock. “It does not suffer from any defects,” said one of the workers.
