Health insurance companies, chambers of crafts and guilds, BGM service providers and universities – they are all looking for cooperation with companies in order to further develop their company health management (BGM). If it is important to you as an organization that the WHM course you are taking is also scientifically based, you will enter into cooperation with researchers. But when does that really make sense?

Heike Kraußlach is the contact person for the “Healthy Work in Thuringia” network at the Ernst Abbe University (EAH) Jena. She is of the opinion: In many companies, WHM currently consists of individual measures and projects; a common thread in the form of an overarching concept is often missing. The former human resources manager at Jena University Hospital now deals with questions of corporate health management as a business professor. She recommends that organizations “first establish structures that have a preventive effect and guarantee healthy working conditions.” And universities could help create these structures.
