A truck full of rubble and workers entering and leaving next to the building of the old Babobab restaurant, in Lavapiés, where a private company wants to build a capsule hotel with 288 beds. The scene is typical of a building under construction, except that last week the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) ordered to stop the demolition – already underway – after considering the precautionary measures requested by the socialist group against the resolution of the Community of Madrid that had lifted the previous suspension of the work. Neighbors have been warning for days that, despite the car, the demolition has continued. The police moved again this afternoon to numbers 1 and 3 of Cabestreros Street after a warning from several citizens.
