The Popular Party, which leads the popular accusation in the Leire Díez casehas requested the indictment of the director of the Civil Guard, Mercedes González, her predecessor in office, Leonardo Marcos, and the operational director (DAO) of the armed institute, Manuel Llamas. González acknowledged in the Senate Justice Committee that he had several meetings with the alleged plumber of the PSOE, although he denied having participated in the plot that, supposedly, sought to bomb judicial and police investigations against the PSOE, with special emphasis on the Central Operational Unit (UCO).
