A forest fire declared at noon this Sunday in the municipality of Soneja, in the interior of Castelló, has forced the evacuation of 500 people from the neighboring town of Azuébar, as reported by the councilor Valencian Emergency and Interior Minister, Juan Carlos Valderrama. A dozen aerial means and fifty members of the Military Emergency Unit (UME) with a total of 17 vehicles have been mobilized for the extinction work. Valderrama has assured that the fire has not entered the nearby Sierra de Espadán natural park.
