The former president of the Badajoz Provincial Council, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, reiterated this Tuesday his “innocence” and insisted that his “only guilt” is “not having the same ideas as the popular accusation.” “They have already won the social trial, regardless of what comes out in this room. It is clear that they have socially condemned us,” he said. This is how he spoke during his turn to have the last word in the trial being held in the Provincial Court of Badajoz for alleged irregularities in the creation and awarding of a senior management position in 2017 to David Sánchez, brother of the President of the Government, in the change of name of said position in 2022 and in the awarding of another position in 2023 to Luis Carrero, friend of the brother of the Chief Executive.
