The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has urged the PP to respect the separation of powers, the presumption of innocence and the Judiciary because, as he said, they already “had the sentence handed down” after the indictment of former president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero or the judicial developments of the Leire case that affect the PSOE. The Executive has surveyed its partners, knows well the political situation of all of them and is convinced that there is practically no possibility of the victory of the motion of censure that Alberto Núñez Feijóo is trying to promote. The Government considers that there is a political reason that makes it difficult for the censorship to succeed: Catalonia and Euskadi – the two key places to approve the motion because the PNV and Junts operate there – are the areas of Spain with the greatest rejection of the PP and especially Vox.
