Volker Steuer, Global Head of Human Resources at Deutsche Bank, presented his vision for HR work of the future at the HR Forum Banking. He explained why it is in the hands of HR professionals whether they are perceived as strategic partners within the company.
“The key success factor for the banks of the future will be to combine people, leadership, learning, culture and artificial intelligence in such a way that sustainable performance emerges.” With this core thesis, Volker Steuer made it clear in his keynote speech at the HR Forum Banking: HR not only has a supporting function in the company, but also an active design mandate. “We HR professionals are required to bring knowledge to the table and thus bring the company forward.” Steuer, Global Head of Human Resources at Deutsche Bank for three years, encouraged his colleagues in the audience: “What we do with it is in our hands.”
