Holy Week in Seville 2026 is celebrated from Palm Sunday, March 29, until Easter Sunday, with dozens of brotherhoods touring the city on itineraries that converge in the Official Race, the common and obligatory route that all brotherhoods take from La Campana to the cathedral. This popular festival functions as a large coordinated system of processions that usually take place in the afternoon and at night, and where each day has its identity, with La Madruga being its most emblematic day. Of course, since the Friday of Sorrows and the Saturday of Passion – the days of vespers – the people of Seville begin to celebrate.

The Official Race is the itinerary of key points through which the brotherhoods pass with their costaleros, nazarenos and musicians. They are the following:

1. The Bell
2. Sierpes Street
3. San Francisco Square
4. Constitution Avenue
5. Seville Cathedral

Key times

Each brotherhood has its route timed, so it can be estimated approximately when the brotherhood will pass through the different streets. Of course, there are time intervals that serve as a guide for all those who want to enjoy Holy Week in Seville and that are timed from when the Guiding Cross comes out, when the procession starts, and the canopy. They are these:

• Departures to the city center usually occur during midday and early afternoon. Except for those that come out in the early morning and on Easter Sunday.
• The passage through La Campana and the Cathedral usually concentrates between 4:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
• Many brotherhoods return at dawn, starting at midnight.
