Not even the intense heat has prevented thousands of people from taking to the streets of Barcelona this Saturday to celebrate Pride Day. Under a sweltering sun, although fortunate enough to have shade for practically the entire route, the city experienced the main day of Pride Barcelona 2026, which culminates almost a month of demands for the rights of the LGTBI+ collective. Jordi Gandia, a Valencian and worker at a large supermarket chain, attended the march accompanied by his cousin. Like thousands of attendees, they gathered at Plaza Universitat, the starting point of the demonstration, with parades of dozens of floats, decorated with rainbow colors, various flags and messages of protest from entities, associations, companies and institutions, which accompanied the journey to the Arc de Triomf.
