Kent-based Cleaning with Meaning, founded by Kelly Moore in 2021, is celebrating its fourth year with continued contract growth and a strong commitment to environmentally responsible practice. The company is approaching a workforce of ten and has secured more than 100 clients, with plans to move into the education and healthcare sectors.
Kelly’s route into business followed a career in healthcare and community support roles, combined with the challenges of raising a family on her own later in life.
A cleaning role discovered through social media proved to be the turning point. Rapid progression into a supervisory position led to the launch of her own company in 2021, built around sustainability and positive social impact.
From the outset, the firm has relied on eco-conscious products, including early formulations developed by Kelly herself. Its guiding message, “Looking after our planet one clean at a time,” reflects that ongoing focus. Kelly said: “A sustainable route is one we will always be on with this company, because I’m really passionate about the planet and people.”
With the operational side now well established, Kelly is concentrating on developing new contracts and expanding into schools and healthcare environments, where she sees strong alignment with the company’s environmental values.
“I am talking to a school about a big new contract that would really be taking us into new territory, but what better place than education to grasp our message of sustainability, I really believe that is an ideal place,” Kelly added.
Reaching a team of ten staff is a milestone she considers significant. Kelly said: “I could not have imagined it, but we will soon have 10 employees. This is just the start – I am so passionate about helping people.”
Alongside business growth, she continues to support her local community, recently speaking at a Job Centre event to encourage women returning to work.
Public speaking has become a new avenue for sharing her experience. Kelly said: “I love getting up and speaking. There were more than 70 in attendance and explaining my journey to them just felt wonderful. If I can show them how I achieved this, show them it can be done, I would love to be able to bring that message to so many people.”
As the company enters its next phase, its priorities include sustainable expansion, sector diversification and ongoing community engagement.
