The businessman Julio Martínez Martínez has ratified this Tuesday before Judge José Luis Calama, instructor of the Plus Ultra case in the National Court, the letter that he sent to the magistrate on Monday to point out José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero as the person who “marked the steps to follow” in the efforts that led to the rescue of 53 million euros that the airline received from the Government of Pedro Sánchez after the coronavirus pandemic. Several sources present at the interrogation point out that the accused, who has testified for nearly three hours after giving a twist to his strategy and offering to “collaborate” with justice, has implicated the former president in the work for the airline, but has maintained that he does not know if the former head of the Executive intervened with someone to expedite the help.
