The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office is criminally investigating the Valencia City Council, chaired by María José Catalá (PP), and the Port Authority of Valencia (APV) for the alleged crimes of prevarication and influence peddling as a result of the temporary relocation of workers in the so-called Valencia 2007 Consortium, which is publicly owned, as confirmed by sources familiar with the case.

Together with Catalá, the investigations are investigating the alleged involvement in these crimes of two Councilors of the Consistory, Rocío Gil and Paula Llobet, and the president of the APV, Mar Chao. The events began after a complaint last February from Compromís, which maintained that in the public company under suspicion there was a “covert subrogation” in the hiring of employees.
