A Chinese merchant experienced a few minutes of real terror in the early hours of this Saturday when a young man tried to rob his business in Getafe. The 58-year-old shopkeeper resisted his attacker and was wounded in the chest. The attacker, 20 years old, also ended up with injuries as a result of the scuffle, so he had to be treated by the emergency services and, of course, arrested for the attempted robbery.
The agents found the victim sitting in a hammock, with blood on his torso and pants and covering the two wounds on his chest. The police were the first to treat him to try to stop the bleeding, for which they put bandages and put pressure on the injuries, which did not stop bleeding. When the SUMMA 112 medical personnel arrived, they found that he had stab wounds in the left and right hemithorax. The paramedics managed to stabilize him and he was subsequently transferred to the 12 de Octubre Hospital, according to the emergency department.
In the establishment, located on Polvoranca Street, there was also a witness, a regular customer, who entered the store at the time of the events and managed to approach the aggressor and grab his jacket, which the attacker got rid of to flee, according to police sources.
The aggressor was arrested near the premises, on Murillo Street, when he himself requested help for the wounds he had sustained in the attack. The man had cuts and bruises on his hands and head. At first, he assured the agents that, while he was walking down the street, an individual had approached him from behind and hit him on the head. He couldn’t specify, however, how he had caused the cuts on his hands and why there was so much blood all over his clothes. In addition, he could not provide a description of the alleged attacker, police sources detail.
Thanks to the video surveillance images of the bazaar, the agents determined that the injured young man in the middle of the street was the same one who had tried to rob the store. He had no choice but to acknowledge that, in fact, the injuries had been caused by “a problem” he had had with the owner of the establishment. At that moment he was detained, although he was transferred to a hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries. Finally, Summa 112 has determined that the man had minor injuries, in the form of head trauma and incised wounds on the head and right hand.
