“The company pension scheme is a mandatory part of an appreciative benefits strategy.” Helge Kniepen, Head of HR Competence & Payroll at Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli and speaker at the Total Rewards practice forum, is convinced of this.
A company pension scheme (bAV) should not be missing from a good benefits strategy. This component of the benefit portfolio is also very important to the chocolate factories Lindt & Sprüngli. The company also ensures that young talents also have their retirement planning in mind. Helge Kniepen will reveal how this works at the Total Rewards practice forum on May 5th in Frankfurt am Main. We asked him a few questions in advance.
Four questions for… Helge Kniepen
COMP & BEN: Why is the topic of company pension schemes so important for employers these days?
Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli GmbH is of the opinion that a good company pension plan is a mandatory part of an appreciative benefit strategy. Employer branding is becoming increasingly important. And since more and more young talents are eyeing the company pension scheme, we have to be well equipped here.
However, many people, especially younger people, do not keep an eye on the company pension scheme. What have you done to ensure that employees pay attention to the topic?
We have repeatedly focused on the topic of occupational pensions through various campaigns and events and continue to do so. We have produced information materials in various forms as well as an emotional video. However, we are convinced that the investment of company pension contributions in an innovative concept on the capital market is the most important point that has aroused the interest of young people.
