One year before the elections, the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, is sending two messages: the “right to stay in the city” and that the city “will be the electoral grave of the extreme right” for its defense of public rights and services. This Friday, the mayor celebrated that the Generalitat has a budget agreement that will revert to the city with 606 million for the rehabilitation of Besòs, the connection of the tram along Diagonal or the construction of clinics, schools and residences. “We fight with facts the environment that the extreme right takes advantage of to challenge all democratic institutions,” he defended. In the last year it seeks to “complete projects started, consolidate results and lay the foundations for the Barcelona of the next decade,” according to municipal sources.
