Koldo García’s defense has criticized during its final report the agreement between Víctor de Aldama and the Prosecutor’s Office to reduce his request for a sentence. “The non-agreement makes me very happy. We have not been offered this non-agreement, because if they offer us ‘say something without evidence’, we are going to tell lies,” said lawyer Leticia de la Hoz, adding that if the former advisor had been made that proposal “he would have collaborated as well.” The lawyer has also questioned the UCO reports and their conclusions on the payments of 10,000 euros: “The UCO has constructed the story and Aldama has adapted.” Previously, the commission agent’s defense had maintained that the criminal organization had already existed since 2015: “They were already corrupt, it does not corrupt them.” The popular accusations of the PP assumed that Aldama paid 2.5 million to Ábalos and Koldo: “He had them on his salary.” The prosecutor, for his part, denied an agreement with Aldama and that the president of the Government was “number one” in the plot.
