A pioneering new survey, The Private Practice Barometer, has been launched by HMDG to offer private MSK clinics a clear and accurate picture of how their operations compare with others across the UK.
The Barometer is the first survey of its kind in the country, benchmarking a range of practices including Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Podiatry, Sports Injury, and wider MSK healthcare services.
For years, clinic operators have had little more than conjecture and anecdotal exchanges to guide decisions about staffing, referrals, fees, patient numbers, and technology. The Private Practice Barometer is designed to fill that gap.
By collecting anonymous, comprehensive data directly from private clinics, the survey offers an unprecedented opportunity to benchmark a plethora of crucial statistics and trends against various filters such as location, clinic size, and specialisms, and offers answers to questions like:
- Are my fees competitive?
- Are clinic owners optimistic about the future of the profession (and why)?
- Am I over or understaffed?
